The standard specifies requirements for safety, design and operation of the pressure regulator (hereinafter - the regulators) for use with gas burners and gas devices. The standard specifies the test methods to verify compliance with these requirements. The standard applies to gas pressure regulators with nominal connection dimensions (nominal bore) up to 50 mm inclusive, designed to work with devices that burn gas, which can be used and tested independently of these devices. Regulators are suitable for natural gas according to GOST 5542 or liquefied petroleum gas according to GOST 20448 with the pressure at the inlet and 20 kPa inclusive. The standard does not apply to: - regulators, connected directly to the main pipeline or tank, to maintain constant pressure distribution; - Regulators designed for gas appliances installed outdoors exposed to the environment; - Controls which use electric auxiliary energy.
