Akane is a 2D action game in which you have to destroy as many enemies as possible before you lose. This is a sword fighting game, with lots of blood, violence and samurai movie cliches. All this is mixed with bright colors and a futuristic cyberpunk countryside environment.
Mega Tokyo, 2121. A city with a population density of 100,000 inhabitants per square kilometer, consisting of colossal conglomerates of buildings and mega-structures connected by streets. Large corporations have enormous power over the city. In forgotten and abandoned areas, poverty is abundant. A jumble of houses and shops. Murders, robberies and human trafficking are common. The Yakuza extort high fees from merchants in exchange for protection.
Akane is a ronin whose parents were killed by the mafia when she was four years old. She became a lonely wanderer, carrying only her katana and a thirst for revenge on all Yakuza members. Years after the murder of 7 mafia family leaders from rural areas, Akane began to roam the bowels of mega-Tokyo and fight urban criminals.
She was cornered by a horde of henchmen in the suburbs of Mega Tokyo. She´s going to die today! But how many enemies will she take with her before her inevitable fate?
