Void Shadows is the first major storyline DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, which will present you with 15 hours of game content and a new romantic interest for the Lord Captain. Fully integrated into the main plot, this expansion allows players to personally explore the nooks and crannies of their ship and plunge into conflict with a new, unfamiliar opponent who is trying to destroy the von Valancius dynasty from the inside. A new story is a tense 15 hours of adventures aboard the von Valatius ship, filled with new threats, various tasks, unique equipment and additional details from the world of the universe. All this is fully integrated into the main campaign of the game. The new companion is Cybella, an Assassin of the Death Cult, ready to take the oath of allegiance to the von Valancius dynasty, as her predecessors had done for many generations. She might even be ready to forge a stronger, personal bond with the Lord Captain. A new impending threat has arisen in the deepest and darkest depths of your void ship. The Genestealer Cult, a nightmarish species of xenos that acts from the shadows to infect your crew with its genetic code. In their attempts to convert people, they slowly distort their very faith in the Emperor in order to carry out their terrible plans. The new crew members are higher–ranking officers who play an integral role in the flights and operation of your ship. Thousands of thousands of souls ready to serve their Lord Captain faithfully. New research locations – the vast size of your void ship holds many remote places and nooks where no Lord Captain has ever set foot before.
