Mordheim: City of the Damned is the first video game based on the cult classic tabletop game Mordheim by Games Workshop. Set in a devastated Imperial City in the Warhammer universe, Mordheim: City of the Damned is a turn-based tactics game where you lead your squads into bloody and deadly battles. The game combines RPG elements with fast-paced tactical combat and squad customization. In this era of chaos and conflict, only the strongest will survive.
After a twin-tailed comet crashed into Mordheim, the City of the Damned became a brutal battlefield. Here, warring squads fight fiercely for control of key areas and seek glory and wealth by collecting precious Wyrdstone fragments. Choose from the legendary units of Mordheim – the Sisters of Sigmar, the Cult of the Taken, the Skaven or the Imperial Mercenaries – and lead your troops into battle. Recruit new units and arm them with enhanced gear. Develop and customize your unit using the experience gained from successful missions. Turn it into an unstoppable force on the battlefield.
Develop ingenious strategies to destroy your enemies. If the outcome is unfavorable, your units may lose a limb... or worse. Remember that in Mordheim: City of the Damned, a slain unit is lost forever! Consider the terrain when developing your battle strategy. Take advantage of unique buildings, ruins or street layouts. Place your troops carefully and try to anticipate your enemy’s moves to set up an ambush! Create inventive battle plans, but remember that victory will require not only the skill of your units, but also your own luck.
Loot artifacts and weapons hidden in the ruins or take them from fallen enemies. Avoid the dangers that abound in the City of the Damned. Collect as many Wyrdstone fragments as you can, but never let your guard down. Mordheim is one of the most treacherous places in the Warhammer universe!
In epic battles for valor and glory, your best ally will be your strategy! Visit all four sides of the City of the Damned to complete missions in the single-player campaign, or fight other players in exciting online modes.
