Diplomacy is Not an Option is a real-time strategy with an active pause, in which your task is to survive, fighting off hordes of opponents. You find yourself in a world of medieval fantasy, and only your choice can decide its fate.
You try on the role of a lord from a backwater fief of Samreinia. A lord who, against his will, constantly gets involved in battles. Build fortifications, gather an army and feel like a real commander in battles of an unprecedented scale. More than 25 thousand enemies will storm your castle, and you will have to defend it time after time. But military force alone is not enough. To survive, you will have to master the basics of economics, engineering and even magic.
Your king is a powerful and strong leader. And he is also an egocentric pig. He loves the horses of the Gorgoth Empire, he loves drinking and generally just wasting his life. But the economy is in decline, the treasury is empty and the fun is over. And this is a big problem. And it is yours. Because the peasants, who do not like the increased taxes and hunger, have raised a rebellion in your fief. The king demands that you suppress the rebellion and quickly sail to the neighboring continent for gold. (Rumor has it, there is a lot of it there.) Will you fulfill the will of your liege and go in search of treasure? Or will you overcome social differences, join the cruel leader of the rebels and bring the tyrant to justice? Will you support the natives of the Unknown Continent? Or maybe you will cast aside human ambitions and act as a commander of the undead army? The answer is yours. You can be sure of one thing: no matter which faction you join, blood will be spilled in any case. And legions of archers, swordsmen, siege engines, knights and many other soldiers will be at your side, ready to give their lives so that you can achieve your goal.
