Description
For centuries, the Church has led humanity, protecting it from the thousand-eyed serpent living in the womb of the world. Her Immortal Hunters are fighting back against the dreaded Kemrids, servants of the snake god, while humanity is in a state of Holy War. All the Cardinals ask for in return for their protection is submission.
During the War, heretics and blasphemers were locked away in the dungeons, ancient scriptures that contradicted the Church´s dogmas were burned along with the most ardent believers. The Church dubbed them martyrs, and their bodies feed the Eternal Flame - the only thing the Kemrids fear besides the warriors of the Church.
However, all they achieved was to delay the inevitable. The Kemrids launched their final invasion, and the Apocalypse unfolded. Amidst the ruins of the capital, you will take control of one of the four surviving Hunters. Use their unique abilities to fight your way through the burning city, survive many unexpected turns, and perhaps save this world.
As the Church and the Kemrids clash, Hunters will find themselves surrounded by unexpected heroes, outright heretics, deceitful Cardinals, and all those trapped in this city. Experience the End Times in a burning city from multiple perspectives. The clash of titans will trigger hundreds of other battles. Ambition and lust for power will tear the Church apart from within, and bold heretics will rise up against it, and the truth will struggle to emerge after years of suppression.
In the end, it is up to you, the Immortal Hunters, to determine the fate of this world. Fight hordes of Kemrids, make difficult decisions, find long-lost knowledge, uncover ancient secrets that the Cardinals have hidden, and perhaps then you will be able to prevent the Apocalypse. Will you succeed?
