Sergeant Jeffrey Forsyth has earned the fame of the strictest law enforcement officer among all mounted police officers.

One stormy evening, he heard a crazy trapper talking nonsense about bandits rampaging through the local camps. He was ordered to wait for his comrades, but the whispers in his head convinced him otherwise, so Forsyth decided not to waste time. He disobeyed the order: he saddled his horse and rode alone.

The sergeant rode for a long time during the night, until he came across a bloody trail, which led him to a terrible sight: a pile of corpses was piled around the altar, and three people were standing nearby, from whose lips the name of the one they were calling was heard - Sculptor. Without hesitation, Jeffrey opened fire on the sectarians, reloading his rifle with horror and disgust.

When other policemen caught up with him, Forsyth, amazed and trembling, sat alone in the carnage. When he couldn´t get a clear explanation, his comrades chained the sergeant for his own safety.

A few days later, a stranger came to his cell: "Tell me everything you saw. In every detail, as if your life depended on it."

And although Jeffrey had never met his visitor, his voice seemed familiar to him, as if it had whispered in his head before. Forsyth woke up and, having obeyed, told him everything down to the last detail.

That night, he woke up to the roar of gunshots and the jingle of keys. "Come out, if you don´t want to be hanged," the stranger told him.

He didn´t have to be asked twice. When they made a stop, John Victor finally introduced himself and, without warning, stabbed his companion with a thick needle. Under the influence of the injection, Forsyth could only sit and listen while John told him about the secret war that the now ex-cop had failed to get involved in.

Clearly realizing that he could not return to his previous life, Forsyth agreed to the Hunt. This is how he found new justice, a new purpose and authority.
