Description:
"How was it then? I was told it was just a joy. Entire civilizations have turned into stimulants. The stars have lost their power in a ten-year evening. Oh, to be alive and powerful in the last days of the Empire– before the advent of She-Who-Longs..."–Hirtineus Roche, former Archon of the Last Blade. The Drukhari are an ancient race that has fallen into degeneration and corruption, and their remnants survive only in the vast cities of the Web. Although they suppressed the psychic power of their fellow Eldar, they replaced it with supernatural agility and predatory cruelty. Their lightning raids from the Web take riches and captives to the dark Commorragh, where they suffer cruelly throughout their short lives... Gameplay Mechanics: The Power of Pain: As pain spreads across the battlefield, the Drukhari become inspired and thrive from suffering. Their units receive additional bonuses depending on the level of experience. Corsair Outposts: Drukhari rarely go beyond the Web, except to plunder the resources of real space. Their cities have a reduced growth rate, but it can be improved by controlling more outposts. Web Raid: The Drukhari strike quickly from the Web before disappearing with their prey. Pay for influence to create temporary portals and activate Web gates to move your raiding party around the map. Raider Fortress: Eldari and Drukhari are forever fighting for access to the Web. Find cities on activated Web gates from which you can unleash your powers on Gladius Prime. Soul Hunger: The souls collected by the Drukhari are an invaluable resource used in their malicious plans. Destroying an enemy unit rewards you with influence that can be exchanged for economic growth and combat effects. Combat drugs: The nefarious Drukhari hemunculi turn some captives into powerful stimulants. Infantry units can pay with influence and life points for temporary boosts that allow them to outperform their opponents. The culture of betrayal: The Drukhari are a vicious race, and only a huge display of wealth will convince them to serve — as long as it also serves their interests. In Drukhari cities, loyalty is lower, but the accumulation of influence gives more loyalty. Blademasters: Blades occupy a ubiquitous place in Druhari culture, and every Commorrit learns this from a young age. Drukhari units receive additional armor piercing in close combat. Raider Tactics: Attacking a new victim world, the Druhari attack en masse from their specially designed vehicles in order to land troops as close to the battlefield as possible. All Dukhari transports are assault vehicles, and Dukhari infantry units can receive combat bonuses upon disembarkation.
