ABOUT THE GAME:
As a first-person shooter, Bulletstorm focuses on combat. There are many fictional firearms available, each with a different behavior, from a pistol to a cannon that fires grenade-weighted bolas. Each weapon has an "alternative fire" mode that uses "charges"; for example, an assault rifle´s "charge shot" is a single volley of bullets that destroy almost everything in its path.

Much of the story and gameplay centers around the "energy leash", a rope of energy emanating from a device on Grayson´s left arm. The leash allows him to pull enemies towards him, activate certain devices and traps, and throw an energy ball that knocks all nearby enemies into the air. The player can also kick enemies or run and slide over them. If an enemy is tossed into the air with a whip or kick or slide, it will go into slow motion, allowing players to perform skillshots.

"Skillshot" is one of the unique features of the game. It rewards the player for killing opponents in the most creative and destructive ways. Points are awarded for various actions, such as killing enemies in the air, exploiting environmental hazards, or using a distinctive feature of a weapon. The more difficult or unusual the skillshot, the more points the players get. Points are used as currency in "packs" scattered around the planet to purchase firearms, ammo, and upgrades. Packs include a shop, skill checklist, and gameplay statistics.

The player can carry up to three firearms, with the assault rifle being the default and always carried. Bulletstorm uses a health recharge system where damage to the player is reflected by the screen turning red and the player quickly reverts to full health if they take no damage
