STORY

Drawing on the world´s greatest minds, GATE is a global network of secret laboratories conducting research in all areas of science - and even on other worlds.

You are a GATE fellow working to expand the boundaries of human knowledge and explain the unexplained, including anomalies and paranormal phenomena ranging from gravity-bending artifacts to supernatural beings with a strong instinct for violence. Security and secrecy are of the utmost importance...most of the time.

A catastrophic security failure has turned your workplace into a space battle zone: anomalous entities are on the loose, enemies from other dimensions are breaking through portals, and a secret military sect known as the Order is indiscriminately attacking laboratories and personnel in an attempt to seize artifacts and eliminate chaos.

Containment procedures have not worked and there is no help to come from anywhere. You and your fellow scientists, with whom you find yourself deep underground, need to join forces to get to the top, and until this happens, you will have to settle down in the underground complex.



GAMEPLAY

Abiotic Factor brings a ´90s sci-fi feel to the open-world crafting survival genre and delivers exciting character development. The multiplayer mode supports up to 6 players, who will be able to choose their doctorate and develop their scientist, equip themselves and explore a huge underground complex filled with supernatural artifacts, the consequences of failed experiments and interdimensional enemies.

There are enough dangers for everyone: aggressive soldiers, aliens in search of food, the most advanced robotic security forces attacking staff working overtime. But you are a scientist and not good at fighting, so you will have to use your doctorate and outsmart your opponents. Create ingenious and outlandish tools, weapons and equipment - from simple nets and wooden bats to laser guns and intricate traps - everything your great scientific mind can come up with!

You´re here for a long time, so settle in and make yourself at home.
