Lone Fungus is a real Metroidvania, which takes place in a world created by mushrooms, where you play as the last surviving mushroom. Explore the ancient world, acquire new abilities and discover secrets!

Study
You will explore ten different areas, each with its own unique set of enemies and obstacles. If you are ready to search every nook and cranny in every area, you will uncover many secrets and receive well-deserved rewards. By conducting research, you will receive significant improvements in the form of relics, emblems and improvements to your health or mind points. These improvements will undoubtedly be valuable for any player. To learn more about these improvements, check out the combat section!

Battle
The battle in Lone Fungus is simplified, but has depth in terms of customization. You can, for example, parry anything that normally causes damage to you, but in particular, parrying flying projectiles will shoot them back at enemies. However, you are never forced to parry, and you can even change the way the parry system works by equipping it with emblems!

Emblems are items that you will find all over the world. Equipping with an emblem can change the behavior of a parried projectile, for example, you can hit enemies, but cause less damage. Or, instead of bouncing off your hat, you will deal damage to everything that is near you. There is even a vortex emblem that destroys a lot of projectiles around the player.

Build improvements and settings
In addition to the emblems, there are relics that work very similar to the spell system in Hollow Knight. Some change the way you heal, while others increase your sword damage or give you additional protection. There are 60 relics in the game, and you choose what your strengths will be with the relics. You can create some really specialized builds focusing on defense, healing, speed, melee attack, or casting spells!

And there are also constant improvements that you get when fighting bosses, it´s everything from spells to new techniques and types of attacks!

Bosses
In Lone Fungus, you can challenge and defeat 28 bosses to acquire new abilities. My goal is to develop exciting and equal boss battles that can be won without taking any damage from the boss. To achieve this goal, I develop different attack patterns for each boss and give clear instructions before striking. In addition, I limit the randomness of their attacks. My goal is to provide a pleasant and stimulating experience in which players can defeat bosses by mastering their techniques.

Platforming
Lone Fungus is essentially a precision platformer, but it doesn´t force you to complete overly complex platforming tasks to advance in the game. Instead, all platforming tasks are limited to additional side rooms, allowing you to enjoy the game as a Metroidvania-style adventure game focused on combat and exploration, while at the same time benefiting from the precision control of the precision platformer. However, if you are inclined to master the hardcore mechanics of the game, training halls are available for you, where you can hone your skills and cope with the most difficult platforming challenges that the game can offer.
