Rebel Cops is a spin-off of This Is the Police, entirely dedicated to turn-based tactical operations. Lead a squad of ragged cops who rebelled against the criminal authorities, and check how long you can hold out when supplies are constantly in short supply, and a single bullet can cost your fighter his life. You´re not exactly the police, but you´re the only one defending the law now. Viktor Zuev, a brutal crime boss, took over Ripton in a matter of weeks, subjugating the local elite and even the police department. With the help of blackmail and threats, Zuev keeps the whole city in fear. The only ones who dared to resist him were a small group of former policemen who refused to serve the new government and surrendered their badges. The goal is to send Viktor Zuev to jail. The chances are slim, but the townspeople have no one else to hope for. Gunfights are fun, but stealth is still more reliable. You are waging a guerrilla war, the bandits have much more people and supplies. So carefully move from shelter to shelter, quietly catch the criminals one at a time and try to handcuff them before they have time to raise the alarm. At your disposal is a set of non-lethal weapons and equipment, as well as special tactical perks that are unlocked as your fighters level up. Sometimes it will not be possible to avoid shootouts, but in such situations it is better to be doubly careful: neither criminals nor cops have health points. The wounded will bleed and die quickly, and a hit to the head means instant death. Explore sandbox levels and steal from thieves In Rebel Cops there are not only compact operations where you need to fight for every centimeter of space, but also large locations open for exploration - the so-called sandbox levels. Search rooms, break into safes and vaults, enter inaccessible areas and try to steal as much of everything valuable from criminals as possible. Keep the cops together so they cover each other -- or take a chance, spread them out across the location and try to look into every corner. Is it possible to defeat crime without becoming a criminal? Zuev´s ruthlessness is the basis of his power. Can you win without resorting to his own methods? Will you comply with the requests of desperate citizens if it could jeopardize the entire operation? Will you spare the civilian guards who are just doing their job but got in your way? Some people think that all means are good in war, but do not forget: reputation is more expensive than money. Disgruntled residents of Ripton can easily muddy your good name. Merchants will be reluctant to do business with you, and even your own fighters may turn their backs on you.
