Vaan, a young man who lost his family during the war, lives a secluded life in the city of Rabanastre captured by enemies and dreams of the free and carefree life of an air pirate.
Princess Ashe, the last surviving member of the Dalmascan royal family, dreams of revenge on the empire and leads the resistance in hopes of reclaiming her homeland.
In an hour of chaos and confusion, the aspirations and hopes of two heroes will intertwine and change the fate of people. The destinies of entire nations will be at stake.

• A special Zodiac Job system will allow players to create a unique character by choosing a combination of 2 of 12 professions.
