In a sample of an organic compound weighing 2.161, oxygen was quantitatively converted into CO2. Carbon dioxide was dissolved in an electrolytic cell filled with a dilute alkali solution, and the decrease in the electrical conductivity of the absorption solution was determined ∆χ = 210•106, cm. Standard substances containing from 200 to 1000 μg of oxygen were subjected to the same transformations, and the corresponding ∆χ values were measured. The measurement results are presented below:
mo2 in sample, µg 200 400 600 800 1000
∆χ•106, cm 80 150 220 285 355
