Aerena: Clash of Champions is a tactical turn-based strategy game set in a relatively original world that combines steampunk and dieselpunk elements. The independent research studio Cliffhanger Productions is responsible for the creation of the game.
The action of this title takes us to an alternative version of reality at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, in which the invention of a way to rise into the sky was much more important than in our history. It turned out that the layer of the stratosphere consists of an amazing substance, Aether - a source of great power. The desire to control this resource led in the near future to a great war between the great powers, carried out by the gradual ruin of the planet and the exit from the chaos of a world organization called the United Nations. She took control of the remaining resources of raw materials and decided that a special tournament would determine Aaetheru´s booty. He participated in a series of fights in floating arenas, and the prize was set for a year of exclusive rights to use priceless energy sources.
Aerena: Clash of Champions is based on this basis. From several dozen available characters, we create a team, and adjust it according to our taste (for example, by choosing skills), and then we go into battle. Battles are fought in small arenas, including hexagonal fields, and take place over several rounds. Each character has a certain number of action points per round, due to which they can use an attack, move, or use their special abilities.
