Malom Perkins experiences his adolescence with the amorous nature inherent in this age. Without thinking about the future of the relationship, he gives himself to feelings with his head. Deeply contrasting with the way of life of the surrounding family members, he inevitably becomes a black sheep among them.
Also included in the collection are other works by the author, combining a mixture of reality and mysticism, representing a kind of window into parallel worlds. A characteristic feature that unites these stories is an open ending, giving the reader the right to choose where he decides whether to paint the ending in gloomy tones or let a ray of light break through.
Fragment:
"Well, what about her, what did she feel from this meeting? Probably, it was difficult for her to figure it out herself. Only when she came home to a dark apartment, all those evenings when she sat folded in an armchair, hugging her legs, or, with her chin propped on her fist, watched the trees rustle outside the window, came back to her memory. She waited for the arrival of the night, where a different life took possession of her, the details of which melted away with awakening, but she remained confident that it was there that she felt truly happy. She hung up her coat and, dropping the keys next to the mirror, met her reflection, always the same. How can you get so used to it that you no longer notice? Always those black colors, how long they had to envelop her. She pressed her palm to her chest and tried to mentally sort through her wardrobe, but she couldn´t find anything else. Let tomorrow be the last time, but only tomorrow."
