Readers for beginner guitarists in the Soviet era, however, as now, remain one of the most sought-after collections for the guitar. Alexander Mikhailovich Ivanov-Kramskoy, of course, was very well aware of this and paid great attention to writing simple pieces for the guitar. Readers edited by him can be attributed to the golden musical fund of a novice guitarist, since Soviet censorship, and the author himself, would never have let low-grade material into print.
