This content pack introduces Menelik II as the leader of Ethiopia. Ethiopia focuses on cities built on hills, generating faith and harnessing the power of Menelik´s "Council of Ministers" to advance science and culture. It also includes the Secret Societies game mode, where players will encounter mysterious organizations that offer powerful skills to their civilization.

Includes the Ethiopian civilization with Menelik II, a unique Oromo cavalry unit, and a rock-cut church tile upgrade.

• Civ Unique Ability: Aksumite Legacy. Cities earn extra confidence from resources, which increases even more when international trade routes pass through resource-rich cities. Ethiopia can acquire archaeological museums and archaeologists with faith.
• Leader Unique Ability: Member of the Council of Ministers. Menelik II receives additional culture and science based on the faith of hill-based cities. His units also gain additional combat power by fighting in the hills.
• Unique Unit: The Oromo Cavalry have improved combat power and vision, and receive no penalties for moving up hills.
• Tiling Unique Improvement: Rock-cut church can only be built on hills or volcanic soil. This gives Faith extra faith from the mountains and hills. It may be only plundered, but not destroyed as a result of natural disasters.
• New game mode “Secret Societies” (requires the Civilization VI Expansion Pack to play)

Additional specialized game mode with exclusive rule changes:
• Adds four secret societies to the game.
• Each secret society offers players a special ruler who applies their bonuses to the entire civilization.
• Secret Societies may offer players new resources, passive bonuses, unique buildings, units or projects to achieve the goals of the Society.
• Use your membership in the Secret Society to increase your favor and forge alliances with other leaders.

New area of the Diplomatic Quarter and buildings

• Build the Diplomatic Quarter, a district that can only be built once per civilization, focusing on international relations.
• Fortify the Diplomatic Quarter by building consulate and office buildings.
