Vernal Edge is an action-packed 2D Metroidvania with intense combat, precise platforming, and a compelling story of competition, retribution, and improvement.
20 years before the events of the game, the mysterious kingdom of Harikot inexplicably soared into the skies and crumbled into many scattered floating islands, allowing the power-hungry Aloe Church to seize control of the kingdom.
Having personal scores to settle with the Aloe Church and its minions, Vernal secretly makes his way to Haricot on one of the Church´s aircraft. She travels alone across the kingdom in order to avenge her long-dead adventurer father. Vernal has outstanding combat skills, but she always takes her amnesiac robot assistant, Sherville, on her travels across the various islands of Haricot in her own flying machine.
You will have the opportunity to reincarnate as Vernal and help her get to her goal. Overcoming the hardships of wandering across the floating islands and encountering various kinds of opponents like the elusive Alstroemeria, you will uncover both the secrets of the heroine’s past and the mysteries of what is happening in Harikot at the present time.
