Returning to the origins of classic RPGs, Shroud of the Avatar combines many of the key features that made the Ultima series so popular.
Episode Content: Shroud of the Avatar will consist of five episodes featuring stories of virtue created by Richard Garriott and Tracy Hickman. They all have backstories in the form of a series of novels, the first of which is called Blade of the Avatar. Forsaken Virtues is the title of the first episode (which you can purchase access to).
Classless Role-playing System: A wide selection of over a hundred skills and abilities divided into 20 areas of development provides a huge scope for customizing your Avatar.
Combat System: Completely new training and combat itself for RPG. You can create a deck of skills, the set of combat skills available to you will dynamically change during the battle.
PvP: Open PvP flags, special zones, and guild wars.
Player Housing: All player-owned buildings are part of a single shared world and are outside of instances. The number of building sites is limited. There are also opportunities for cohabitation.
