All the usual game elements are in place, but with fresh graphics and new rules, bonuses, effects and features! So, the battle royale mode called Eternal Battle will surprise even experienced players! Arkanoid, developed by TAITO Corporation in 1986, marked the beginning of a whole genre. The plot was simple: the ARKANOID space base is under attack. A small VAUS ship manages to escape, but is thrown into a dimensional labyrinth. Stage by stage, VAUS destroys the walls (spacewalls), in order to eventually get to Doha (DOH) - the main boss who destroyed the ARKANOID base - and take revenge on him. The talented French studio Pastagames decided to revive the tradition and created "" Arkanoid - Eternal Battle "". And here´s what is interesting about the new version: for the first time, players will be able to play against each other online in the Eternal Battle mode! This "battle royale", also known as Battle Royale, takes the iconic arcade game to a whole new level, allowing 24 players to compete online for the right to be called the champion. Getting started in Arkanoid has always been very easy - that´s why gamers like it. The concept has not changed, but in the new version, the difficulty will increase with each stage, which will make the game even more interesting.Key features: Fresh graphics and new, even unexpected items, abilities and game features from the famous French studio Pastagames.
4 GAME MODES: 2 single player (Neo and Retro) and 2 multiplayer (Versus and Eternal Battle).
NEO (1 Player): Same gameplay as the classic Arkanoid but with new boosters and spacewalls.
RETRO (1 player): Open the story page with the vintage arcade showcase.
VERSUS (for 2-4 players): Players play on the same (split) screen under Neo mode rules. Please note that local multiplayer requires a controller.
ETERNAL BATTLE (for 25 players): Players compete online, knocking each other out of the game until one winner remains. Champions are given special bonuses that can be used during the game.
High replay value thanks to the new Eternal Battle mode. Play online and compete against opponents from all over the world.
Cross-play capability
An original progressive soundtrack that adapts to stages and difficulty levels by composer Xavier Thiry.
An online leaderboard showing players´ high scores across 3 modes (Neo, Retro, Battle Royale) will be available from launch.
