Humanity is disappearing from the face of the Earth and is being replaced by robots. In the first game, The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day, the main character was a robot inventor named "Ar-ti", who accidentally found himself among a small group of robots trying to help the few surviving people.

In The Uncertain: Light At The End we will see the post-apocalyptic world through the eyes of one of the survivors - the girl Emily. The player, together with her, will have to find out what caused the disappearance of people: artificial intelligence out of control or something else?
