Description

ICARUS is a session PvE survival game for up to eight people.

A harsh Icarus awaits you - the greatest mistake in the history of mankind. In pursuit of wealth, you have to scout the area, gather, make tools and hunt down animals.

The miners leave the orbital station for a strictly limited time and go to fight the difficult conditions of an alien planet, complete faction tasks and look for rare and very valuable exoresources. The survivors return to orbit and use the recovered exomatter to develop new hardware to embark on an even riskier sally with their newfound knowledge. Those who did not manage to return are destined to disappear without a trace.

At one time, they planned to turn Icarus into a second Earth, but after an unsuccessful attempt at terraforming, its atmosphere became poisonous, and humanity abandoned hope of colonizing a new planet. Icarus has become an eternal topic of jokes, a symbol of the arrogance of a man who dared to aim at the unattainable. However, when xenobiologists found out that the so-called exomatter was the cause of the failure, interest in Icarus woke up again. The discovery of a fabulously expensive resource marked the beginning of a real gold rush and an increase in political tension on Earth, and miners reached out to Icarus.

The brutal PvE world of Icarus seems ready to do anything to exhaust you to the limit and destroy you physically.

Poisonous atmosphere, dangerous animals, violent storms - the character of Icarus is not to be occupied. You will have to plan your actions, whether it is building a shelter, searching for oxygen, tracking game or preparing supplies for the road, and every second calculate the situation a few steps ahead.

A deceptively familiar yet alien world awaits you.

The first group of miners is allowed to work on a resource-rich site with an area of ​​more than 64 km² with a variety of natural conditions and many inconspicuous nooks and crannies. The whole territory is worked out manually. To survive, rely on the resources available: here you can cut down every tree and break every boulder.

Master two technology trees: one on the planet, and the second in orbit.

Homemade tools, buildings and mechanisms will help you survive the expedition to the surface of Icarus and achieve your goal. Accumulate experience of being on the planet, master unique skills and develop useful talents. By returning to orbit with rare exo resources, you can develop more advanced equipment. Choose which skills to develop and which new developments to take on your next outing to complete the task faster, cover more distance, automate production, or simply increase your chances of survival. There can be no trifles in this matter.

The time you spend on Icarus is strictly limited: do not forget to look at your watch and appreciate every second.

You choose the duration of the session: from a couple of hours to days or even weeks. Beware: if you do not have time to get to the shuttle that will take you to
