Description:
Explore the stunning Firth of Forth and southern Fife with the always busy Fife Circle Line for Train Simulator! The Fife Circle Line consists of two main routes, the Edinburgh - Aberdeen Line and the Circle Line, with transfers at Inverkeathing and Kirkcaldy, allowing trains to run between two points both with departure and with a stopover in Edinburgh. Services on the route used to be two separate local services, but they were merged after the line at Dunfermline was reopened in 1989. With the completion of the circle, improvements to the line soon followed. New stations have been built to return their rail service to the communities and improve connections to Edinburgh Airport, and in recent years ScotRail has increased capacity during peak hours with the introduction of locomotive trains with modern BR Class 68 models. The highlight of any Fife Circle train is the ability to cross the striking and instantly recognizable Forth Rail Bridge, which stretches for 1.5 miles and carries the railway over the Firth of Forth. Iconic events like these are paired with the ever-busy Scottish Railways - the perfect combination that you can explore in Train Simulator!
