The first adventure game from Tim Shafer in the last sixteen years, Broken Age was born two years ago during a record Kickstarter campaign. Now she´s here – and she´s beautiful, in 2D, in all her hand-drawn beauty, with a unique orchestral musical accompaniment and a stellar cast.
Broken Age is an ageless story about growing up, sickening trees and talking spoons. Vella Tartin and Shy Volta are two teenagers who find themselves in surprisingly similar situations, but radically different worlds. The player will be able to freely switch between the two stories, helping them to sort out their own destinies and upcoming adventures.
They say that the genre of adventure games died, but then Broken Age punched a tombstone with her fist and grabbed you right by the hand, and at that moment you screamed just like in the ending of the movie "Carrie", except that the words were: "I love adventure games so much!" And yes, I´m sorry if we told you the ending of "Carrie".
