To determine vitamin C (ascorbic acid C6H8O6) in products, the iodometric method is used. The reaction goes according to the equation:
C6H8O6 J2 = C6H6O6 2HJ
in the presence of starch as an indicator. For titration of 10.00 ml of a sample of vitamin C solution, 2.00 ml of a 0.1 N J2 solution were used. Determine the molar concentration of ascorbic acid equivalents in the sample.
