109. Electrophoresis of the Agl sol in aqueous solutions of KNO3 took place at a potential gradient of 400 V/m. At a KNO3 concentration of 10-3 mol/l, the displacement of the sol boundary to the cathode in 30 minutes was 25 mm, and at a KNO3 concentration of 10-2 mol/l, the same time was 11 mm. (Take the viscosity and dielectric constant of the medium from task 101). Calculate the ζ-potential of the sol particles in both cases. Answer: 48.44 mV, 21.31 mV.
1. Write a sol micelle and show the change in its structure upon addition of KNO3.
2. How does an increase in the concentration of an indifferent electrolyte affect the value of the ζ potential?
