Option 3.
Based on the experimental data obtained in the study of the surface tension of the indicated aqueous surfactant solution at 20°C, calculate the area occupied by one surfactant molecule and the thickness of the adsorption monolayer in two ways: graphical and
analytical. For this:
Analytical method
1. Calculate the average value of the Cav concentration, the values of ∆С, ∆σ and ∆σ/∆С.
2. Calculate the amount of adsorption Г according to the equation Г= С av / RT(Δσ/ΔС) .
3. Calculate the S/G values and plot the adsorption isotherm in linear coordinates using the Langmuir equation S/G = f(S)
4. Determine graphically the values of G∞ and K.
5. Calculate So and δ.
Option 3. Surfactant - heptanol
