To prepare standard solutions of titanium (IV) and vanadium (V), a sample of steel free of vanadium and titanium was dissolved in nitric acid. In six volumetric flasks with a capacity of 50.00 ml were placed the same aliquots of the resulting solution, adding 0.50; 1.00, 1.50 ml of a solution containing 0.20 mg / ml of titanium or vanadium, hydrogen peroxide, and brought to the mark. We measured the optical densities of titanium peroxide complexes at 400 nm and vanadium at 400 and 619 nm relative to a reference solution containing all components except H2O2. We got the following data for building a calibration graph:
V, ml 0.50 1.00 1.50 0.50 1.00 1.50
A400 0.165 0.340 0.510 0.2900 0.575 0.860
A619 0.060 0.120 0.185 0 0 0
A 100.0 ml solution was prepared from a sample of steel weighing mg after appropriate treatment. An aliquot of 10.00 ml was taken into a flask with a capacity of 50.00 ml, solutions of H2O2 / HNO3 were added and brought to the mark. The optical density was measured at 400 and 619 nm relative to an aliquot of the test mixture not containing H2O2.
Calculate the mass fraction (%) of vanadium and titanium in steel for the following options:
Option 1
M, g 0.2000
A400 0, 920
A619 0.115
