RPG in a Box makes it easy to create grid-based, voxel-style 3D RPGs and adventure games! As the name suggests, it will contain all the tools you need to turn your ideas into games in a boxed package. The software is designed for beginners and does not require any programming or modeling knowledge, but at the same time provides a wide range of customization options and accessibility.


Voxel editor
Create tiles, objects and characters from 3D pixel blocks (i.e. voxels) and easily animate them using the frame-by-frame/doll animation system in the editor. It also supports importing from MagicaVoxel (.vox) or PNG sprites.
Map editor
Build grid-based worlds with the tiles you create, then bring them to life by adding interactive objects and NPCs using the editor´s intuitive navigation and interaction system.
Scripting
Customize and trigger in-game events with a visual node-based script editor. Just drag and drop the desired actions (no programming knowledge required) or manually write "quick scripts" using your own scripting programming language similar to Lua.
Dialogues
Write dialogue for your NPCs using a visual approach similar to the script editor. Branched dialogues are supported through player choices and condition checks.
Camera system
Choose from three available camera types for your game: standard, first person, and isometric. Create dynamic cutscenes in the engine using a flexible system of camera scripts.
