During one of his attempts to escape from Deponia, Rufus meets Goal and falls madly in love with this beautiful girl from Elysium. He accidentally throws her off a comfortable cruiser, and she ends up on a dreary junkyard planet. But this accident gives rise to a new plan in his head: he needs to help Goal return to the floating city of Elysium, and for this he will have to play the role of her nasty fiancé Clytus, who for some unknown reason looks like two peas in a pod like Rufus.
