The game takes place on the Western Front of one of the bloodiest conflicts in world history from 1914 to 1918. The game was inspired by the famous Battle of Verdun in 1916. The game features four game modes: "Frontline", "Battle for attrition", "Fight to the death" and "Defense by squads". It also features many historically accurate elements: realistic WWI weapons, authentic clothing, nightmarish blood flows, and maps based on real-life battlefields in France and Belgium.
The "Frontline" mode is unique in its tactical complexity. It is not easy to fight in realistic trenches - capturing and defending them requires a lot of tactical skill. The Entente and the Central Powers are seeking to wrest control of each other´s sectors of the front from each other. In one of the battles, you have to storm enemy trenches in order to throw the enemy back, in the other - to defend the newly captured bridgehead from a furious counterattack.
