Stalingrad is a real-time strategy based on a modified Blitzkrieg game engine by Nival Interactive.

The storyline of the game takes place between mid-July 1942 and January 1943 and describes the events of one of the most dramatic episodes of World War II. Within the framework of two detailed campaigns, the player will first have to lead the advance of the German army units to Stalingrad and the subsequent capture of the city, after which, taking command of the Red Army units, liberate the Soviet stronghold from the Nazi troops and achieve the complete defeat of the 6th Wehrmacht Army. Unlike other games on this topic, in Stalingrad each mission is built taking into account historical realities and is tied to the events that took place during the Second World War both in time and place. In addition, individual combat missions are organized in such a way that the campaigns as a whole give a real picture of the development of events in the theater of operations at that time.

“The Battle of Stalingrad is the main battle of the Great Patriotic War,” says DTF Games game designer Pyotr Prokhorenko. “For the Red Army, Stalingrad became a school of war and a symbol of resilience - our troops went through the bitterness of losses and retreat to one of the most successful military operations. Stalingrad became the grave of the 6th army of the German Wehrmacht and the unfulfilled hope for world domination for the Third Reich. We plan to recreate this epic battle step by step and give players the opportunity to feel like participants in the Battle of the Volga, which took place more than 50 years ago.”
