Outside is the spring of 1958. Tireless detectives and adventurers, the Pilot Brothers finds out from the newspaper that the population of blue striped elephants is rapidly declining on the distant island of Tasmania.
Given that Tasmania is the only place on earth where these rare animals are found, and that in the past the brothers had to deal with one of them, the Chief and Colleague decide to go on a long journey and find out everything on the spot. Arriving in Tasmania, the detectives learn that everything that happens to the elephants is nothing more than the machinations of their old unkind acquaintance - the insidious Karbofos, who caught the striped giants, luring them into distant dark caves. What to do? Like what?! Save the elephants, of course!
