Course work on the topic "Choice of a hydroturbine for HPPs" on the subject "Hydraulic machines" for NIU "Moscow Power Engineering Institute"
For a hydroelectric power plant with a design head Hp = 36.2 m, a reactive turbine is selected (the system, type, impeller diameter, speed and allowable depth) are determined for a nominal power N = 65,000 kW and a suction height at a design head of approximately Hs = -8 , 0m.
For the selected turbine, the performance characteristics of the power dependence are constructed: efficiency? (N), the suction height Hs (N) and the flow rate Q (N) for four different heads and on their basis the operational power-output characteristic is constructed.
On the operational characteristic, the isolines of efficiency, suction heights, opening of the guide apparatus, the angle of installation of the blades and the power limiting line for the generator and turbine are plotted.
A dimensional sketch of the installation of the turbine RO-45 was developed and the mark of the impeller was selected.
