Falling Skies: The Game is based on the series of the same name and tells about an alien invasion of Earth. Chaos begins everywhere, and Tom Mason, having gathered a squad of people around him, decides to confront the threat. Together, they move around locations, completing tasks to destroy enemy units or collect components to create super-powerful weapons. However, these same components are not so easy to get, so users will have a long journey to the goal, accompanied by various difficulties and challenges.

The gameplay is based on the tactical aspect. Each location is arranged differently, due to which the conditions of the battle will change. For example, if the squad´s path lies through a dilapidated house, you can use the walls as cover. Initially, the camera is located behind the characters, but if desired, you can turn it at any convenient angle, getting an overview of enemy positions and the situation on the map as a whole. Skirmishes are step-by-step, so it is important to think through the actions of team members in advance so that they do not end up in awkward positions. After each completed segment, individual squad members receive experience points. They, in turn, should be spent on pumping up skills and improving basic characteristics to increase efficiency in battle.
