Director Bulls was detained by investigator Ivanov for taking a bribe of $ 40 thousand dollars. The investigator was approached by Bykov´s wife and asked for a cash consideration of 700 thousand US dollars not to start a criminal case. Investigator Ivanov refused and said that if she did not leave the cabinet, he would take measures against it in accordance with the law. Bykov´s wife was frightened and left the office.
Analyze the current criminal situation and answer the questions:
a) what positive psychological qualities did investigator Ivanov show in a conversation with Bykova?
(b) Did the investigator Ivanov act correctly in this situation?
c) how should the investigator Ivanov do, if Bykov had laid out the money in the form of a bribe on his desk?

Activity 3

20 convicts were brought to the correctional labor institution of the Ministry of Justice, who for the first time committed crimes. The regime in the colony is general. After the distribution of prisoners by detachments, they all behaved differently: many did not talk to anyone, were closed; in the eyes of some of them, fear was seen. In psychological contact this group of prisoners entered reluctantly, preferring to remain silent.
Analyze the psychological situation and answer the questions:
a) what reasons influenced the psychological state of this group of convicts?
b) during what time can the psychological state of these convicts change?
c) after what time will the said group of convicts adapt to the regime of the correctional labor institution?

Activity 4

Model the history (genesis) of a person committing a criminal act of a violent type. Choose one of the motives of the criminal act you are considering and try to mentally determine those personality characteristics and the circumstances of the situation that can serve as prerequisites for the emergence of such motives.
