Description:
"Stalingrad" is a real-time strategy based on the modified game engine Blitzkrieg by Nival Interactive. The plot line of the game unfolds from mid-July 1942 to January 1943 and describes the events of one of the most dramatic episodes of the Second World War. In two of detailed campaign, players will first lead the onset of parts of the German army at Stalingrad and the subsequent capture of the city, after which he took over command of the Red Army, to liberate the Soviet stronghold from the Nazi troops and get the complete defeat of the 6th Wehrmacht army. Unlike other games on this topic, in "Stalingrad" each mission is built taking into account historical realities and is tied to what happened during the Second World events both in time and in place. In addition, individual combat missions are organized in such a way that the campaigns as a whole give a real picture of the development of events in the theater of operations at that time. "The Battle of Stalingrad is the main battle of the Great Patriotic War," says game designer DTF Games Peter Prokhorenko. "For the Red Army, Stalingrad became a school of war and a symbol of perseverance - our troops went through the bitterness of losses and retreat to one of the most successful military operations. Stalingrad became the grave of the 6th Army of the German Wehrmacht and the unfulfilled hope of world domination for the Third Reich. We plan to recreate this grand battle step by step and give players the opportunity to feel themselves as participants of the Battle on the Volga, held more than 50 years ago. "The developers singled out the following main features in the game" Stalingrad ": 36 missions in two campaigns - for the Wehrmacht and the Red Army, and There are also 7 secret missions that reveal little-known facts from the history of the Battle of Stalingrad;
accurate reconstruction of historical events, making the game a kind of "interactive textbook" for the legendary Battle of Stalingrad;
the landscape of game maps is recreated on the basis of tactical maps and aerial photography of the Great Patriotic times;
more than 150 types of units, created in full accordance with existing in reality prototypes, as well as several dozen unique historical buildings, recreated from archival photographs: Stalingrad railway station, elevator, department store, House of Specialists, Krasny Oktyabr plant.
