Final Fantasy XIII-2 is a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII. The plot takes place two years after the end of the original game, where Lightning, along with a team of comrades, saved Cocoon from falling onto the Pulse. While most of the survivors are trying to start a new life, Lightning disappears somewhere and they begin to consider her dead. However, Lightning´s sister, Sera, doesn´t believe this and goes looking for her. The dangerous journey of the girl begins with the city in which she lives - monsters attack the settlement, and a young guy named Noel saves the heroine. From that moment on, they set off to look for the missing Lightning.
